Fifty Songs

My favorite band is Radiohead and I was lucky to hear them when they came to Chile and, although it was the best concert I have been, I want to write about another concert.

This time I want to write about a concert was realized on Saturday 24 of this month at the Caupolican Theater: the celebration of 50 years of the “Congreso” band.

Congreso is a Chilean musical group of Latin American fusion style founded in Quilpué in 1969, so far it has 17 studio albums and 4 live albums. its style has varied over the years and some of its members, but this has not influenced its artistic quality.

I've always heard a lot of Chilean music; however, I did know "Congreso" band not long ago and I really liked its music.  I think is very important band of the musical´s movement “la nueva cancion Chilena” and it was demonstrated at the concert because the theater was full, and people were very excited, in some moments I heard or saw people crying. There was a nostalgia in the atmosphere because they toured their entire career playing 50 songs!. I enjoyed it a lot because I love his music and this concert was the birthday gift my dad gave me; the only bad thing is that I got tired of be sitting so long.
